Loomis council approves purchase of adjacent 3655 Taylor Road to expand town hall, funds from developer-fee account

The two-parcel sale includes the alley between town hall and Horseshoe Bar Road, staff said.
Funding and context: Staff recommended using the town's developer-fee fund (fund 03/25, a community facilities fund) because those fees are restricted to facility acquisition and cannot be spent for other purposes. Town Manager Wes said earlier plans to build a new town hall were estimated at about $7.5 million; by contrast the adjacent purchase is a smaller upfront expense and preserves an existing building while providing immediate space.
Vote: The motion to approve staff's recommendation carried on roll call with all members present voting in favor (Council members Youngblood, Cartwright, Clark Kretz, Cortez and Mayor Ring recorded "Aye").
