Nicole, the planning office staff member who read the public-notice language, said the application requested a special permit under the town zoning bylaw for temporary structures. Chair Richard Nichols said the installation is unchanged from past years and noted the fire department and accessibility arrangements are the same. "It's the same as they have done every year. So there's really no change," Nichols said.
Board members moved, seconded and approved a motion to close the public hearing and to grant the special permit renewal; the votes were taken by voice and recorded as "Aye." The board did not place additional conditions on the permit at this meeting.
