He also mentioned a rumor about a skateboard park adjacent to the future North Park and recommended the application of transfer‑of‑development‑rights principles for balancing hardscape and greenspace.
Joffe said he contacted the city’s sustainability department and offered two presentation formats (a 15‑plus‑15 minute briefing or a one‑hour lecture) and said he has professional licenses and references. He asked city officials to follow up if they are interested in hearing his findings.
Council members did not take action on the request during the workshop; the item was recorded as public comment and staff did not commit to a follow‑up during the meeting.
