County IT installs courthouse digital signage, moves online permit and payment tools forward

Sawyer County Information Technology reported the completion of a courthouse digital signage project and ongoing development of web forms to allow online permit applications and payments.
IT staff said four displays in the courthouse are installed and running during business hours; the displays currently show information between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., with the ability to extend hours if desired. IT is also building web‑form automation for online payments and applications; work in progress includes tourist rooming house licensing (TRH) and upcoming fire-number applications.
IT staff said they have assisted public health and zoning with TRH licensing workflows and that additional enhancements to the land-record system remain in the development queue. Committee members thanked IT for the work and asked about display scheduling; IT said hours can be extended beyond business hours if requested.
Ending: IT will continue rolling out online permit forms and will schedule display operation hours based on courthouse needs.
