Acting co-administrator Mike Markran told the committee he is working with PMA on a communications note and that a resolution to approve the issuance will be presented to the county finance committee in June, with the formal note issuance expected in July.
Markran said he has been meeting with department heads to assist with reports and offered to help with antiquated reporting systems, and that he visited the county airport with staff to review deferred maintenance. Markran said the runway project includes funding that could be applied to address pressing deferred maintenance items at the airport and that staff will continue coordinating with state officials before a formal project start. He also said he is preparing for the upcoming budget season and updating mutual budget models used by Highway and Health & Human Services.
