Williams said the fiscal-impact analysis on pages 10 and 14 of the committee materials provides a range based on cash allotments alone and does not fully account for other services proposed in the bill.
County executive liaison Miss Skinner and the sponsor asked for more interagency discussion. The bill sponsor said the legislation had returned to committee sooner than anticipated and requested more time to coordinate with the vice chair and chair; the sponsor moved to hold the measure. The motion to hold was seconded and carried on a recorded vote.
What happens next: The sponsor and committee staff will pursue interagency conversations and further fiscal analysis before the bill is scheduled again for committee consideration.
