Papetti asked council to help publicize the office’s AlertMe notification service, which alerts subscribers when land-record documents are recorded in a given name or address, and said his office has begun talks about whether additional internal controls are needed around quick‑claim deed filings to reduce the risk of property‑transfer fraud.
He invited questions and concluded after a short Q&A. Council members thanked him for his work and for the office’s emphasis on inclusion. There were no formal votes on the Register of Wills budget at the hearing.
