INCO approves April 9 minutes; neighborhood chairs announce meetings, preparedness and cleanup events

The Oxnard neighborhood council (INCO) approved the minutes for its April 9, 2025 meeting by voice vote after a motion and second during the meeting.

Alyssa made the motion to approve the minutes as written and Alfonso seconded. The chair called for objections and, hearing none, declared the minutes approved.

Following the procedural item, neighborhood chairs provided brief reports about upcoming meetings and community activities. Highlights included:

- East Village: a meeting scheduled for May 21 at 6 p.m. featuring a disaster preparedness presentation by Mayor Pro Tem Gabe Turan and a traffic‑engineer update on Lombard; a neighborhood watch forming that is accepting donations for signs.

- Windsor North / River Ridge: a meeting scheduled for May 8 at 6:30 p.m. at River Ridge Golf Club to revive an inactive neighborhood council.

- Cabrillo and Seaview: local meetings scheduled in May; Seaview announced a May 22 meeting at 6:30 p.m. with a county supervisor representative expected.

Council members noted that neighborhood chairs cannot engage the council in detailed discussion or action during these reports; items raised may be referred to staff or scheduled for future agendas.
