Precinct names and boundary updates: The clerk said state guidance requires a county identifier in precinct names (Summit County’s identifier is 22), which required renaming most precincts to meet a character‑limited naming convention distributed by the lieutenant governor’s office. The clerk said the county’s GIS team will update interactive precinct maps and PDFs and that a few precincts received more intuitive names (for example, replacing “North Summit North” with locality names) to improve clarity for voters. The clerk also noted the creation of a split to track West Hills voters for a November incorporation vote.
