Commissioners expressed support for the concept and asked staff to return with details on costs and logistics. Staff agreed to report back with a proposed date in October, more precise cost information and recommendations for county participation and outreach. One commissioner noted SPSCC had included such outreach in its board plan, adding institutional interest in the partnership.
No final budget or contract approval occurred at the work session; commissioners authorized staff to continue planning and to explore cost-sharing with SPSCC.
