No formal vote was recorded; the clerk’s office said it would place the appointment on the next available board meeting agenda so the board could consider the appointment before the May 20 meeting.
Commissioners noted they may hold a brief, open discussion of applicants off the live stream; the public portion of the morning session ended with the clerk reminding attendees that further discussion of applicants would not be live-streamed but remained an open public meeting.
The board also asked staff to circulate candidate names and application materials to commissioners ahead of the meeting so members could identify preferred candidates before the appointment discussion.
