Commissioner Priess told the Dauphin County Planning Commission on May 5 that he and county staff had visited Millersburg Borough to inspect damage at the Tanner's Run site, including roadway impacts and an apartment building with structural concerns. "I got an opportunity to to see a lot of the layout, as well as the impact on some of the buildings and the businesses, and the one apartment building where there's a lot of damage," Priess said, and that he shared photos with the state representative and state senator and local officials.
Commissioners and staff described the problem as a long-standing issue that has worsened. The commission discussed previous engineering reviews and noted that Millersburg Borough is holding funds pending final engineering conclusions. Commissioner Priess said the county commissioners will address the issue once the full board is reconvened.
