The Le Mars City Council adopted Resolution No. 2519 approving submission of a state airport funding application prepared by Bolton & Menk for connector taxiway construction and apron reconstruction in fiscal year 2026.
Administration and the Airport Advisory Committee recommended the application. The project description in the packet included apron repairs and relocation of the connection between the apron and the rental area. Councilmember motioned to adopt the resolution and the motion passed following a roll call vote: Nick, Bruns, Sturgeon and Wick voted yes.
Council members said the application is part of the city’s regular annual requests for airport project funding and expressed hope the city will receive a grant or award. No construction contract was awarded at the meeting; the action was authorization to submit the funding application.
