Crossville work session places multiple procurement and contract items on next agenda, including Meadow Park permit work and police HVAC engineering

City staff asked the council to place a package of procurement and contract items on the next regular agenda, covering building improvements, environmental assessments, milling and chemical bids, and a liquor-sales compliance certificate for a grocery outlet.

Items staff asked to add - Meadow Park Lake expansion: Amendment No. 5 to Walker’s engineering contract for $50,000 to complete the permit application for raising the lake. Staff said two additional contracts (an environmental firm for permit documentation and a mitigation contractor) will follow. - Police department HVAC: Approval requested for engineering services to evaluate and plan HVAC replacement at the police department for $16,750. - Catoosa department office site improvements: Low bid from Jay Paul Construction for $47,412.70 recommended for award. - Brownfield/fuel-tank assessment: Approval requested to award an assessment for buried fuel tanks under a Brownfield grant; staff recommended Montrose Environmental Solutions for the assessment. - Road and maintenance bids: Staff requested corrections and awards for the fertilizer bid (correction to award to Hogan Company), cold-milling (25/26) award, and water-treatment chemicals procurement; staff said the fertilizer award previously listed the wrong name and will resend the award to the actual low bidder. - Certificate of compliance: Recommendation to approve a certificate of compliance for United Grocery Outlet (doing business as Bargain Barn/Grocery Outlet) to allow on-site wine sales; staff recommended approval. - Other items: Building Codes Board and Personnel Board appointment needs were flagged for the agenda; two personnel-board members cannot be reappointed and replacements must be city residents.
