Shannon Marshall, special projects division manager, presented the item. The project -- part of the 2014 general obligation bond program -- would renovate a 10,332-square-foot annex to provide expanded EMS storage and a restocking area for ambulances. Marshall said the lowest responsible bid was $939,153.28 and recommended awarding the contract to Scissor Tail Construction.
Council action: After brief discussion, council approved the award and directed staff to finalize contracting and schedule work. The vote was recorded by roll call.
Why it matters: The project is intended to improve EMS logistics and supply management at the Public Safety Complex and is funded from earlier bond authorizations.
