Board approves consent agenda and adopts revised secondary school schedule effective Sept. 1, 2025
Summary

The Eastchester Union Free School District Board of Education approved the consent agenda and separately adopted a revised secondary school schedule for Eastchester High School and Eastchester Middle School, effective Sept. 1, 2025.
The consent agenda vote covered approval of minutes, the personnel agenda, Committee on Preschool Special Education and special education recommendations, and business office recommendations. During the consent vote one board member stated on the record that they were abstaining; the motion otherwise passed.
Section 11 of the consent agenda — educational curriculum and instruction — was called out for a separate vote. A board member moved and another member seconded the motion to adopt the revised secondary school schedules for grades 6–12, effective Sept. 1, 2025; the motion passed.
The superintendent had earlier described the schedule change as part of a broader shift in secondary scheduling and related-services delivery. The revised schedule was referenced in the superintendent’s report and will appear as adopted in the board’s consent minutes.
