District updates EduCLIMBER rollout; major hurdle is Synergy data integration

Staff said EduCLIMBER centralizes assessment, attendance and intervention information in a “whole‑child” profile intended to be useful to teachers, school psychologists and site administrators. Presenters described the tool’s potential to streamline SST/MTSS and IEP meeting preparation, to flag early warning indicators and to enable flexible student grouping using combined assessment and attendance metrics.
District staff and IT lead Jeff said the biggest remaining obstacle is integrating certain Synergy fields into EduCLIMBER reliably. Specific problems mentioned: several demographic columns and attendance feeds were not populating in the EduCLIMBER instance; staff validated that state and local assessment data (CAST, ELPAC, FastBridge, Renaissance Star) and historical scores are present, but that attendance and some demographic fields need cleanup and an automated nightly sync.
Staff outlined a phased approach: pilot the platform this summer with Bliss programming and the district’s instructional coach (Jen Hoskins) pulling data and giving feedback, provide differentiated professional learning in fall 2025, and aim for broader site rollout during 2025–26. Trustees asked for a clear timeline, responsibilities and a “drop-dead” date to avoid ongoing delays; staff said some tasks require collaboration with Synergy vendor support and EduCLIMBER and pledged to escalate integration issues and bring a more detailed timeline to the board.
Board members emphasized the need to resolve attendance accuracy and to ensure teachers find the platform reliable and easy to use; staff said they will prioritize validating attendance and demographic mappings and will pilot with Bliss this summer to gather teacher feedback.
