The Village of Oak Park Board of Trustees approved resolutions of appreciation for outgoing trustees Ravi Pericott and Lucia Robinson.
Trustee Pericott delivered remarks reflecting on his path to local service and the priorities he advanced while on the board, including community safety, fiscal stewardship and sustainable development. In the resolution read into the record the board noted Pericott’s role on the Energy and Environment Commission, his leadership at Takeout 25 (a local nonprofit), and recognition he received during the pandemic for supporting local businesses.
Trustee Lucia Robinson also offered comments thanking village staff and family and describing the role of staff support in translating board policy into operational results. The resolution praising Robinson cited her background in law, contributions to conversations on public safety, housing affordability, small business recovery and environmental sustainability, and her advocacy for improved language-access and equity-oriented policies.
Both resolutions were read into the record by village staff; members of the board moved and seconded the motions and the board recorded voice votes in favor. The meeting included the reading of both resolutions and formal votes were taken to approve and enter them into the official record.
