The Village of Oak Park Board of Trustees approved a resolution proclaiming the results of the consolidated election held April 1, 2025, and then administered oaths of office to officials who had been elected or reelected.
Christina Marie Waters was sworn in as village clerk. The board also administered oaths to Chibike Enya (reelected village trustee), Jenna Loving Jacobson (newly elected village trustee), James J. Taglia (reelected village trustee) and Vicki Skamen, who took the oath for a second term as village president.
Clerk Christina Waters conducted the oath ceremonies for several offices. The meeting record shows the resolution proclaiming the consolidated election results was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote; the board recorded “Aye” without any recorded opposition.
Sworn officials repeated the statutory oath to support the U.S. Constitution and the Constitution of the State of Illinois and to faithfully discharge the duties of their offices “according to the best of my ability,” language used on the record during each oath.
The board also took routine organizational actions elsewhere on the agenda, including approving the consent agenda earlier in the meeting and confirming a schedule to move into a closed session on real estate and minutes review later in the evening.
