Oswego resident urges help after repeated late-night noise and illegal activity near Liberty Court

Manny Osmani, a resident of Liberty Court who said he has lived in Oswego since 2005, told the Village Board during public comment that recurring late-night noise, fighting, vehicle revving and suspected drug activity at a nearby business are disrupting his sleep and quality of life.
Osmani said he has repeatedly called police and captured videos of disturbances that sometimes continue into the early morning hours. "It's getting to be where I don't stay home Friday and Saturday night," he told trustees. He said police respond but that disturbances recur and that the business holds a license that allows operations until 2 a.m.
Village President Ryan Kauffman acknowledged the concern and invited Chief Bassin, who was in the audience, to step outside with Osmani to begin a dialogue and explore immediate options. Chief Bassin agreed to speak with Osmani after the meeting.
No formal action was taken at the meeting; the board moved on to staff reports and agenda items after public comment.
