The vote authorizes a project that the applicant, Silverthorn Homes, described as 31 single-story ranch villas and 82 two-story rear-loaded townhomes, a reduction from the earlier approval for 256 condominium units. The developer says the redesign cuts density from an earlier figure of about 8.5 dwelling units per acre to roughly 5 dwelling units per acre for the amended area, and reduces impervious surface by about 4.37 acres.
