The Santa Rosa City Council voted unanimously to authorize the initiation of litigation, the city attorney reported after the council returned from closed session.
"By unanimous vote with all council members present, the council, voted to authorize the initiation of litigation. The action, the defendants and the particulars shall be disclosed to any person upon inquiry once the action has been formally commenced," the City Attorney said during the meeting's closed-session report-out.
The report came after the council recessed for two closed sessions: one on anticipated litigation and one on existing litigation. The City Attorney offered no additional details during the public report other than that the defendants and particulars would be disclosed once the action had been formally filed. The meeting then moved to adjournment.
