DPH opens 822 Geary stabilization unit and Laguna Honda earns 5-star CMS rating, officials say

Other recovery and transitional beds Bava also previewed summer openings for two DPH-operated recovery bed programs: the Keene and the Marina Inn. She described Keene as short-term recovery housing intended for people seeking to change their substance-use trajectory and the Marina Inn as a longer-term option (up to two years) for people exiting treatment who need a stable place to continue recovery. DPH is coordinating timelines with HSH for other sites (Sharon and James Baldwin Place), which are run by the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing.

Laguna Honda CMS rating Bava reported that Laguna Honda Hospital recently received a five-star rating from CMS, noting that the rating reflects improvement on quality of care, staffing and related dimensions. She said the department had not yet received all official documentation from the survey but that staff were pleased by the result.
