The Kossuth County Board of Supervisors approved a set of drainage repair requests covering multiple drainage districts and township locations and authorized county supervisors to manage and oversee the repairs. The motion to approve repair requests and let supervisors handle them carried unanimously.
Staff reviewed individual requests and the board approved repairs or noted that private tiles would be handled by landowners or private contractors where maps showed the tile as private. Among the items reviewed were: Drainage District 708 (Buffalo Township) with two large holes in a main tile (26‑inch tile noted), Drainage District 86 (Buffalo Township) with a broken 22‑inch main tile in pasture, PAK1 Federal 57 (Lodge Creek Township) with a washout (landowner reported repairing that item already), and several other township requests including Eagle Township, Harrison Township, Lu Verne Township and Garfield Township. Staff said contractors (named in the record) had repaired some items before the meeting and the county would arrange repair for county tiles.
Board members directed supervisors to handle the requests as submitted and approved the motion to proceed. The board recorded the motion and voice vote as carried unanimously.
