COBAC member Derek Hottbauer summarized the event and said roughly 40 people attended. Several committee members, including Carl and Whitney Bennett, praised the turnout and said much of the value came from informal conversations during the walk and the post-tour gathering.
Suggestions for future events included planning stops more deliberately with assigned speakers for each stop so participants know what physical features or improvements to focus on, and creating structured opportunities for participants from different organizations to meet. One committee member highlighted a scavenger-hunt-style activity used at the event and suggested building in more facilitated interactions to boost cross-sector awareness of local accessibility work.
Ending: Organizers said they would incorporate the feedback into future walk-and-roll events and consider more structured stop plans and facilitated mixing opportunities to help participants learn who is doing accessibility work across the community.
