DCA budget manager Lisa Wheaton told the board that the department increased the FY25 utilities appropriation to cover unexpected cost growth, saying, “This will increase the total utilities FY25 budget from 7,900,000.0 to 8,900,000.0.” The board approved the two items (R1 and R2) in separate motions; both passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
