Dame also briefed the committee on capital work: the airport plans to bid phases 2 and 3 of a project that he said has roughly $30 million in outside federal funding, and a recent parking-lot expansion bid came in at about $4.5 million (lower than an earlier $5.5 million estimate). He cited a cost example for a parking garage (Sioux Falls: $64 million for 1,000 stalls) and explained the city is prioritizing surface stalls for now because per-stall costs are substantially lower.
The airport rates and charges item was on the consent agenda and was approved as part of consent items passed earlier in the meeting.
