Rogers County accepts rebids for maintenance building expansion; HVAC awarded to COP Hometown Services

County staff told commissioners the bids are generally in line with the revised scope and budget expectations. County staff also said a glass and glazing bid had been rejected because of an improper notarization and that staff will include a firm allowance in the GMP for that work and solicit a separate proposal to complete that contract item.
Commissioners directed that the low HVAC bid, submitted by COP Hometown Services, be accepted for the HVAC package where multiple bids were received. A motion to accept the rebids and proceed with the contracts carried; commissioners recorded their votes as aye (names recorded in the meeting transcript). The county’s project representative said he had sent the GMP amendment to commissioners the prior week.
County staff said the rebid followed an earlier tabled item from the May 5 meeting and that most bidders who responded had also bid on the initial solicitation but rebid to match the value‑engineered scope. The staff representative described the GMP amendment as covering the entirety of the project and said it will include a firm allowance for the glass and glazing scope, which will be re‑solicited.
The board did not discuss a dollar total for the GMP in open session; staff referenced a cost memorandum previously distributed to commissioners. No formal contract documents or award amounts were read into the record during the meeting.
The board’s action allows the county to finalize contracts and proceed with the construction start sequence as outlined in the previously circulated GMP amendment.
