The project proposal includes architectural elevations in a South Florida design style, a planting palette and lighting. Staff recommended approval with a single condition: a landscape maintenance agreement must be recorded and in place prior to final certificate of occupancy; that agreement must ensure installation, irrigation and perpetual maintenance in accordance with section 123‑7 of the City Code.
Mr. Baxom said the property is roughly 0.31 acres and described the prior successful project he completed in the city. The board recorded a unanimous vote (Ms. Clemens — yes; Mr. Edwards — yes; Mr. Whiting — yes; Mr. Johnson — yes; Chairman Bridal — yes) to approve the conditional use with the stated landscaping maintenance condition.
