Staff emphasized the match is met yearly by the county’s allotted staff and facilities.
Commissioners asked for a clearer explanation of the amendment and requested the staff member who handles the grant to return to the meeting with a summary before the board signed the amendment. The board scheduled a revisit to the item later in the day and staff said they would be available to explain the amendment in more detail.
No formal vote was taken at the initial presentation; the board asked staff to bring documentation and to review the specific additional requirements from the amendment ahead of any signature.
