Dallas opens bids for storm drainage, electrical upgrades and multiple procurement requests

A staff member announced that the City of Dallas opened five procurement items on May 9, 2025, and read the names of firms that submitted bids and qualifications.
The most prominent construction request listed was CIZDW22349350, a request for bid for storm drainage improvements at various locations, phase D. Companies that submitted for that RFB and the totals read into the record were Camino Construction LP ($16,397,930.00); John Burns Construction ($17,103,511.00); Omega Contracting LLC ($13,684,105.00); SYB Construction Co., Inc. ($12,334,608.00); and Western Municipal Construction of Texas LLC ($13,378,635.00).
The meeting also recorded one construction request for qualifications: CIC25, BCM3163, a design-build RFQ for electrical upgrades and a generator addition at the Bridal Homeless Recovery Center. Two firms were listed as submitting statements of qualifications: DSGN Associates Inc. and Medco Engineering Inc.
Two procurement requests for bids were announced. BA25-26801 (water treatment OEM parts and accessories) received bids from Environmental Improvements Inc.; Fintech Corporation; GSM Engineered Fabrics LLC; Macaulay Controls; and Pierce Pump Company. A separate procurement RFB for a motorcycle trailer (BP25-27067) listed JC Enterprises; Phoenix Contracting; Renowned Cargo Trailers LLC; and Verde Inc. as submitters.
The final item recorded was a procurement request for qualifications, BYZ25-00027430, for environmental engineering consulting services. Firms listed as submitting qualifications were APTIM Environmental and Infrastructure; GeoLogic Associates; Parkhill Smith and Cooper; SCS Engineers; The Carroll Corporation; TRC Environmental Corporation; and Weaver Consultants Group.
The staff member closed the bid opening and said the public can view the recording and bid documents later at www.dallascityhall.com under Watch City Meetings Online and the bid purchasing tab. No awards or contract decisions were made at the opening; the session recorded only names of submitting firms and bid totals where provided.
