City representatives said the Carmel Coastal Hazards Community Workshop is scheduled for Thursday the 19th from 4 to 6 p.m. and described it as an opportunity for the public to learn how a Coastal Commission grant is being used to study shoreline hazards.
“...we have what's called the Carmel Coastal Hazards Community Workshop, which is really an opportunity for the public to come and hear what, how how we're using our Coastal Commission grant to look at coastal hazards and and then that'll obviously eventually turn into capital projects that we can implement to, ensure our shoreline is safe,” the webcast host said.
Speakers framed the workshop as part of a planning process that will inform future capital projects to address shoreline safety. The webcast did not include a full agenda, presentation materials, or information about any required permits or funding beyond the grant reference.
Residents interested in the workshop should consult the city’s official calendar or upcoming planning commission materials for an agenda, staff reports and any materials that will be presented at the session.
