Ken Wasecki, the city's new public works director, will begin work on Monday, city representatives said during a community webcast.

Speakers said the town's small staff and limited budget mean projects will proceed incrementally and with volunteer support. Mayor Byrne said city staff and volunteers have been working to address safety problems and fine-tune project details.
