Staff described the property as a circa-1955 noncontributing Ranch-style house clad in asbestos shingles. The proposed shed will be located in the northeast corner of the rear yard on a concrete foundation, have an asphalt-shingle gambrel roof, a double-entry barn-style door and a 2-over-2 window above the entry. Staff said the shed will not be visible from the public right of way and raised no objections under the county's guidelines (chapter 7, fences and landscapes).
The owner was not available for questions at the meeting; Commissioner Lily Mandroff requested confirmation that the owner would obtain any required permits. Staff confirmed the applicant will need to secure necessary permits through the zoning and building process.
The commission approved the shed by roll-call vote; staff will reflect the decision in the property record and the owner will proceed with permitting.
