During the May 8 committee meeting, Human Resources provided staffing metrics and recruitment updates. HR representatives said the district will host an annual job fair Saturday at Fontainebleau High School for 2025-26 hiring and that approximately 300 positions are being advertised. They reported sending 758 invitations to approved applicants, of which 261 were new applicants.
Human Resources said it has appointed 21 new administrators for 2025-26. The district reported it currently has 1,286 teacher substitutes in the pool, 1,439 total substitutes and an average fill rate of 80 percent for teacher subs. HR staff present for questions included Belinda, Rafael and George.
Board members noted and congratulated district staff on individual academic and professional achievements, and HR representatives offered to answer questions about staffing and recruitment.
