The St. Tammany Parish School Board on May 8 recognized administrative appointments for the 2025-26 school year, introducing three new principals, one assistant-principal appointment and multiple assistant principals across the district.
Superintendent Mister Jabia announced four new administrative appointments and noted 21 new administrators had been named for 2025-26. New principal appointments introduced at the meeting included Nicole Gaian at Abney Elementary; Robin Mitchell at Lake Harbor Middle; and Byron Long at Creekside Junior High. The board also introduced multiple assistant principals and assistant principals-in-training across elementary, middle and high school campuses; among them were Carolyn Dufo (assistant principal, Boyette Junior High), Shondra Adams (assistant principal, Brock Elementary), Patrick Daniel (assistant principal, Covington High), Colleen Bordelon (assistant principal, Fontainebleau Junior High) and others.
Each appointee spoke briefly to the board, thanking the superintendent, board members, and family and describing priorities for their new school assignments. Remarks emphasized collaboration with teachers and families and a focus on student support and school culture.
The introductions were part of the public meeting record; no separate roll call vote on individual appointments was recorded during the meeting. The district's human resources office noted in a later update that 21 new administrators have been appointed for the coming school year.
