Yulee athletics: inaugural beach-volleyball season backed by planned on-campus courts; batting-cage upgrades expected this summer

He also reported payments had been made for reconstruction of the Yulee baseball batting cages and for purchase of a groomer/drag, and he asked the board for an update on the status of plans for a concession stand, bathrooms and a field house that were under review.

Board members Gail Cook and Shannon Hogue were thanked by Woodard for attending a recent baseball game and for walking the field with school representatives. The superintendent’s office replied that a recently hired facilities director had started on Monday and that the district had created a shared document to keep athletic directors and school leadership updated on project status.
