Council approves Harvest Place supplement, contract extensions and new website/codification vendors

The council approved several agenda items on May 6 that involve municipal contracts and vendor services.

A supplemental agreement with SEH to add paving and return work for Harvest Place Phase 1 — described in staff comments as needed after a developer substitution — was approved by motion. Staff stated the amount “not to exceed $19,200.” The motion carried by voice vote.

Council approved a second supplemental agreement for trails Phase 1 design work. Staff described additional profile and loop work and coordination with Seneca water main construction; the transcript shows staff at one point citing $17,300 but a later motion text contained a different figure; staff said they would confirm the final amount prior to contract execution.

The council approved an extension of the city’s abatement mowing contract with Dunride Lawn Care LLC at the same unit rates as last year. Staff noted the minimum charge on typical abatements starts around $75, that the city pays upfront and invoices property owners (or places charges on the tax roll as a special assessment if unpaid), and that the contract includes the city's right to renew.

Finally the council authorized contracts to replace the city website and to codify municipal code: staff recommended Revize (website) and General Code (codification). Staff said the city could realize five-year savings compared with the current provider, and noted that the new website vendor would support ADA accessibility improvements and modern features while embedded payment processing would remain with the city’s current processor. Council authorized staff to finalize agreements and the mayor or city administrator to execute them.
