Commissioners then considered a separate action to extend the county27s eScribe agreement (RFA 2025-62) for agenda management and related services.
County staff recommended renewing the eScribe contract, saying the county has used the system for three years and has expanded its deployment to other boards and with iPad access. Staff told commissioners the vendor proposed a substantial price increase but negotiations reduced the increase; staff recommended extension and reevaluation in three years.
A motion to approve RFA 2025-62 was made and seconded; the motion carried on an affirmative voice vote. The board later recessed to an executive session under the employer-employee exception to the Kansas Open Meetings Act to discuss salaries and benefits, then reconvened and announced no action had been taken.
