Moratorium on billboards
The council adopted Ordinance No. 1440 to establish a temporary moratorium on the acceptance, processing and approval of applications for new billboards under the city’s planning and zoning appendix. The council first voted to approve the ordinance without the emergency clause, then separately voted to declare an emergency allowing immediate enforcement. The measures passed unanimously.
