Earlier in the meeting, the board addressed Item 6, a motion to approve the special meeting minutes of July 1, 2024. Trustees noted typographical errors in the draft minutes; the motion was amended to include corrections and then approved by recorded aye votes.
Trustee Sherrick, Trustee East, Trustee Kirkpatrick, Vice Chairman Dorsey and Chairman Kurd each recorded “Aye” on both the minutes and the budget votes. No dissenting or abstaining votes were recorded on either item.
The authority’s staff described the BMA as a Title 60 public trust; Shelton said water and sewer service fees are the main revenue source for the authority’s operations. The meeting ended after trustee comments were solicited and none were offered.
