The council approved a one-day retail on-sale liquor license for the Downtown Association’s spring wine walk scheduled for May 22; Councilman Ward moved approval and a council member seconded, and members voted aye.
The council approved a retail off-sale wine and cider license for Sky LLC, the corporate owner of International Kitchen at 1721 Sixth Avenue Southeast (the former Big Boy location). A motion to approve passed on a voice vote.
A retail license for Airy Vibes Sip and Paint at 10 Fifth Avenue Southwest was approved by the council; the motion carried by voice vote.
The council approved claims and payroll for the April 20–May 3 payroll period. The motion to approve the bills and payroll passed on roll-call vote; Council member Ward recorded an abstention on the roll call, and Mayor Shoneman said he would abstain only on payment to Jarman's Water Systems but vote aye on the remainder; the motion carried.
The consent calendar (five routine items) was approved by voice vote earlier in the meeting.
