"We offered her our entry levels job... She took a job in Fulton County of being paid a hundred and 5 thousand," Carney said of one candidate; he described multiple candidates who turned down offers for higher pay elsewhere. Carney called the proposed structure a compromise between his office's request and what the county could fund and said he would return if adjustments proved inadequate.
Committee members moved the proposal to the legislative agenda for floor consideration; the committee recorded the motion to report and did not take a roll‑call tally in committee.
