Hazel, for $14,407, after the originally lowest bidder was deemed noncompliant with CDBG minority/women outreach requirements. The council noted some city in‑house work will count toward matching requirements and that the general contractor was scheduled to begin work the week of the meeting.
Park restrooms/concession demolition: Council discussed demolition of restrooms and associated structures at the ball field complex; staff said demolition would not close the park or the ball fields for the season but could affect one parking lot. Staff reported in‑house demolition/grading work has been used to reduce project costs.
Resolutions: The council approved Resolution No. 2025‑16 declaring May 2025 as EMS Week and approved Resolution No. 2025‑17, a formality authorizing C. DuPont (an affiliate/provider named on the agenda) to administer a grant program and to prepare and submit the application on the city’s behalf.
