Senator Latz urged support, calling it "a good bill" and "nothing controversial." The secretary gave the bill its third reading and the roll was called under rule 40.7; the secretary announced 65 ayes, 0 nays and the bill's title was agreed to.
Because House File 3022 consists of technical and clarifying changes rather than policy shifts, floor debate was limited to sponsor remarks and brief endorsements. The passage completes the Legislature's routine statutory housekeeping for the sections covered by the bill.
