Officials approve construction payments, raise loan cap and authorize RFP for OSU extension interior

At a meeting of the governing board, meeting participants voted to raise the top-dollar loan figure tied to construction financing to $8,000,000 and approved several actions to move forward on finishing the county extension space and paying Crossland Construction Company.

The changes affect multiple elements of an ongoing building program. The board voted to increase the loan cap from $7,000,000 to $8,000,000 to provide additional borrowing capacity from a shared trust for bills related to Crossland Construction. Members also authorized an RFP (request for proposals) to complete interior work at the OSU extension space, approved payment of debt payment number 7 to Crossland Construction for slightly more than $1,900,000, and voted to adopt “Salt Fork Event Center” as the official name of the new event facility.
