The Terrebonne Parish Council unanimously adopted required policy and procedure documents to administer Community Development Block Grant — Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds. The measure, moved by Councilman Clyde Amner and seconded by Councilman John Amity, passed 9-0.
During discussion Council members asked that the names of currently designated coordinators and officers be provided to the council. Parish staff said the policy intentionally did not list individual names — to avoid frequent amendments when positions change — but that staff will email the council the current list of coordinators. Staff also described the scope of this CDBG-DR funding in the meeting as $117,000,000 in CDBG-DR funds, and council members asked staff to confirm funding sources and program distinctions for record-keeping.
Council discussion focused on clarifying which disaster-recovery pots of money the policy governs and on administrative logistics. Councilman Carl Harding requested the list of names for the record. Parish staff agreed to provide that information outside the meeting so the council knows who holds the designated roles without embedding names in the policy itself.
Action: motion to adopt the CDBG-DR administrative policy and procedures was approved 9-0. Staff will provide the list of current coordinators to council members by email and will proceed with program administration in accordance with the Office of Community Development grantee manual and CDBG-DR rules.
