Council approves consent calendar and advances annexation ordinance to reading

Councilor Teigen was absent for that roll call.
Councilor Nishioka then moved to advance Ordinance Bill No. 5-25, described by the recorder as an ordinance to annex certain territory located at the 2500 block of Michigan City Lane NW and the 3300 block of Levi Street NW, apply city zoning and withdraw the territory from the Spring Valley Bridal Fire Protection District. The motion to advance the ordinance to a reading for passage carried on a roll call with all recorded members voting aye.
Recusal/Conflict note: Councilor Matthews said he had a past real-estate relationship with one property affected by a consent item and declared the possible conflict on the record but chose not to recuse and participated in the vote after the declaration.
