On May 7 Broadwater County commissioners approved two applicants to the Parks and Recreation Board and approved consent agenda items including multiple claims batches and payroll.
Appointments: The Parks and Recreation Board recommended Carol Hatfield and Wendy Gravely for appointment. Commissioners approved both nominations, with term lengths to be determined according to the boardbylaws. Hatfield described experience in forest service work and as a local government forest adviser; Gravely noted 34 years teaching in the Townsend School System and prior service on a local golf course board.
Claims and payroll: Commissioners approved several batches of claims and one payroll batch during the meeting by voice vote. Approved amounts recorded on the agenda and read into the record included: $30,897.97; $30,530.96; $91,798.96; payroll $274,966.69; $11,716.77; and $52,752.09. Each batch was moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote with no public comment.
Other items: The county museum board liaison reported a vacancy on the museum board and said the museum would open May 15 and operate through the summer months. Commissioners said the Parks and Recreation Board is working with Great West Engineering on a trails and parks master plan.
