Broadwater County approves modest hangar lease rate increase for airport

Broadwater County commissioners on May 7 approved the Broadwater County Airport Boardrecommendation to increase hangar lease rates from $0.12 to $0.1233 per square foot, effective July 1, 2025. The airport board adopted the change at its April 16 meeting and forwarded the recommendation to the county.
Commissioner Randolph noted the airport construction project will begin May 19 and said the rate change implements the airport boarddecision ahead of invoicing in July. The board approved the rate increase by voice vote.
The change will be reflected in lease letters sent to hangar tenants and in July invoices. No public comment was recorded on the item at the county meeting.
